4th Class Soccer Blitz
4th Class enjoyed a terrific day out in Carrigaline at a 6-a-side soccer blitz organised by the FAI. 4 teams from the school competed against teams from Bandon, Clonakilty and Gardiner’s Hill. The boys played their hearts out and earned some well-deserved victories.
Lifetime Lab Primary Science Quiz
Two teams of young science boffins from 5th and 6th class participated in the Lifetime Lab Primary Science Quiz in UCC. The boys remained competitive through 8 rounds of challenging questions. It was a memorable night, enjoyed by all.
A Visit from the Lord Mayor
Scoil Eoin recently had the honour of hosting the new Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Deirdre Forde. The boys of 6th class were treated to a question and answer session during which they learned all about the many duties of the Lord Mayor. Perhaps more than a few were inspired to pursue a career in politics.
Munster Rugby Sessions
A huge thank you to the inspiring coaches from Munster Rugby who are back putting 6th class through their paces. The boys have been enjoying drills that push them to their limits, force them to think quickly on their feet and develop their ball skills. The future star of Munster Rugby may very well be in our midst.
Autumnal Sing-Along
Pupils from infants to 6th class gathered in the school yard to sing a new hit tune composed by the talented boys in Mr. Tobin’s class. ‘This is Autumn’ has super lyrics and a catchy melody that the rest of the school just couldn’t resist singing along to. The boys’ Sciath na Scol campaign came to a close with a tight game against Crosshaven. Unfortunately, the boys lost their final match but they did us proud, battling right to the bitter end.
