As part of a countrywide celebration of Proclamation Day 2016, Scoil Eoin held a lovely ceremony on Tuesday, 15th March 2016. All of the boys and many parents attended the ceremony. The 1916 Proclamation was read by 6th Class boys, with a simplified version read by 5th Class boys. After weeks after weeks of brainstorming and co-ordinating, the Scoil Eoin Proclamation 2016 was finalised and read aloud on the day by boys from 4th Class. Finally the youngest boy in the school David raised the Irish Flag with the eldest boy in the school Austen. It was with huge pride that everyone gathered sang Amhrán na bhFiann as the flag was raised over the school.
