Scoil Eoin took to the field in Páirc Uí Rinn for their third Sciath na Scol Football Final in three years, filled with hope that this would be their year! The opponents in this year’s final were Passage West who provided a great contest on the day. The boys went into the final quietly confident after a flawless campaign that saw them beat every team along the way. From the throw in we were set for a very entertaining match. An early goal from Matthew settled the nerves. Passage eased their way into the first half with a couple of points, but Scoil Eoin replied with a few points of their own, cementing their lead at half time.
Two nice points kicked the second half for us, but Passage came right back into the game with a goal. It didn’t take long for Scoil Eoin to reply, a goal from Matthew with another from Jack ensured that this was our day! Sciath na Scol Football Champions 2019.
