Scoil Eoin has the honour of taking part in the VEX IQ Robotics Competition which takes place in CIT on Friday February 6th. Twenty boys from sixth class will be representing Scoil Eoin in the various challenges. These include Teamwork Challenge, Programming Skills Challenge and STEM presentation. The boys have been working diligently and with great enthusiasm on the various challenges and STEM project since last October. This meant doing a lot of research in school and outside school hours, working individually and in teams. The highlight for most of the boys was the building and programming of our robot.
As the competition day is almost here the excitement is building and the finishing touched are being put to our STEM Project and robot driving skills. This is the first ever VEX IQ Competition to be held for Primary Schools in Ireland so all the boys are extremely excited about the experience which lies ahead.
