Muskerry Local History Society and The Western Front Society hosted Ballincollig’s first commemoration of World War One on Saturday afternoon. Approximately 450 young men from the Ballincollig area fought in this war, with over ninety losing their lives. Their names were read out by school children from the area, with Simon O’ Regan, rang a sé, representing Scoil Eoin.
